astitchintimesaves9
Hi all, I have extruded some sections and they are displaying as solids but I need them to be just lines. I need to be able to see through them, I don't do much 3d but I recall a button that switched the render on and off, where has it gone please? tnx, Dain
ReMark
Why not just switch to a 2Dwireframe visual style? What are you using now? Conceptual? Realistic?
astitchintimesaves9
Wireframe, yes I think that's it. AutoCAD 2014.
astitchintimesaves9
I still don't know where that is on the ribbon though.
astitchintimesaves9
I need to be able to switch between solid and wireframe. There used t be a drop-down with a wireframe orb and a solid orb, you could switch between solid and wireframe but I haven't done any 3d in a while, can't find the button. ReMark
Look on the Ribbon > Home tab > View panel. You are in a 3D workspace aren't you?
ReMark
Find this and you should be good to go. BTW....you do not turn Rendering on and off. Anyway, there is no need to render unless you have applied materials. Have you done so?
astitchintimesaves9
No, I wasn't rendering, just using the wrong terminology. That is what I was looking to achieve. I could also have just done the obvious and type in 'wireframe' but it is convenient to have your option. Thank you.
ReMark
Glad to hear you got it all squared away. Yes, the right terminology helps to avoid confusion. You're entirely welcomed.
