3D Mechanical to Solidworks Conversion **Best Method**

Hey Everyone

I have to hire someone to create a Solidworks model from my CAD 3D Mechanical Model.

What would be the best way to prepare for this in order to minimize his/her time and help efficiency in their model creation?

My model is mainly extrusions and blocks, no xrefs... Didnt know if this made a difference...

Thanks in advance for any help

Vic

Regardless of what I have to pay them... Does it help if I exported some of the blocks as .SAT files? What do I need to do in order to get the information to this free employee we are speaking about?

No blocks - explode blocks.

DWG would be good enough.

if you want to test

you could save as *.sat and then read the file back into a blank dwg and see exactly what they are going to see. (check for missing information - if you don't see it something, they won't see it either)
