jpeg to dwg coversion

Is it a jpeg of a flat drawing? If not, there will be perspective, scaling and measurement issues. The only way I know of to get even close to satisfactory results, is to IMAGEATTACH, and trace it. There are some software solutions, but not one of them leaves you with a drawing that does not need massive line correction work.

EDIT: Although you can attach the photo to an autoCad drawing the way it is, and trace it, a jpg cannot be directly converted to a dwg file in itself. It has to be converted to a pdf or some other document first, then fed to one of several semi-satisfactory raster document to vector converters.

I remember some guy over at TheSwamp.org was creating a program that could detect raster image pixels and create some type of linework. It worked really good actually, but I don't think he ever released it to the masses. So it's definitely possible, but got to scour Google to find something I guess.
