Casio47
Howdy! Let say I have a simple rectangle which measures 62" x 49", and I have annotated the dimensions of the rectangle. Now, lets say I wish to change the rectangle to 48" x 36". Is there a way to simply change the annotated dimensions, so the rectangle changes to the newly installed annotated dimension? I could change objects in Solid Works by doing this, so I assume the same can happen in AutoCAD? AutoCAD 2012 Thanks for the help
nestly
Technically, you can drive geometry (2D only) with Dynamic dimensions in Autocad, if it's sufficiently constrained.... however I think there are very limited situations where it's practical. Everything you need is on the Parametric Ribbon tab. In the following demo, I created a rectangle, used the "Auto Constrain" tool, then added two dynamic dimensions. -->
