Changing an Object Dimension, by Changing the Dimension Annotated Number

Howdy!

Let say I have a simple rectangle which measures 62" x 49", and I have annotated the dimensions of the rectangle. Now, lets say I wish to change the rectangle to 48" x 36". Is there a way to simply change the annotated dimensions, so the rectangle changes to the newly installed annotated dimension?

I could change objects in Solid Works by doing this, so I assume the same can happen in AutoCAD?

AutoCAD 2012

Thanks for the help

Technically, you can drive geometry (2D only) with Dynamic dimensions in Autocad, if it's sufficiently constrained.... however I think there are very limited situations where it's practical.

Everything you need is on the Parametric Ribbon tab. In the following demo, I created a rectangle, used the "Auto Constrain" tool, then added two dynamic dimensions. -->
