Help:Excel to autocad

Senicar

Recommended Posts

I have a map drawn to NAD83/UTM standards and I have an excel spreadsheet of multiple places (with there coordinates). Is there anyway to import that data into Autocad so I can mass produce a block to all those points?

Basically doing the reverse of the command "DataExtraction"

Yes, with Map3D.

Either use the mapimport command and select ACSII for type, you will need to save your Excel file to txt or csv format first. This will insert a block at each coordinate.

OR

Depending on 32/64 bit OS and MS Office version you can use FDO or Data Connect after you create an odbc connection in the OS ODBC Administrator.
