hello

is there any quick way to generate cut in one part using profile of second one like on image ? cut needs to be a little oversized for easier instalation.

Several ways depending one what you have to start with.

Copy Object, Sculpt, Thicken, Split, Derive, Combine (cut) are some commands that come to mind.

thanks for interesting. project will be as sphere with hundreds of plates intersect each other.

under the link there are a few parts already modeled. the most time consuming part for me in inventor is generate cuts between parts.

for example in this case we need make a notch in vertical parts (magenta) so we can "slide" inside horizontal parts. notch needs to be a little oversized.

i made a sample cut on magenta but doing this for every parts will take forever.

maybe not too fast but cut out is perfect

1. sketch on plane (3 lines)

2. extrude each line to surface

3. thickness (with oversized)

4. combine
