Dont know for sure but if you're using AutoCAD 2006 and higher go to Tools - Customize - Interface. Under Double Click Actions see if there is the MText Edit command under MText.

good morning all,
ok...so i know this is going to sound like a newbie, but when i double click to edit text it pops up the modify properties box instead of just letting me edit the text there (both mtext & dtext). Double click editing is on, noun-verb is on i've checked the DBLCLKEDIT and PICKFIRST commands, both are correct. I have two profiles setup on my comp, both are almost identical...one for ACAD one for CIVIL 2007 on top of ACAD. the latter is the one that this is happening to, the first works just fine.
any guesses?
