FrankG TX Posted June 4, 2014 Share Posted June 4, 2014 The company I work for is currently going through some changes in the way we draw, store, and organize our cad files. we are attempting to cut down on wasted time doing things that could be done once and reused. In our title block we have a FIELD with the FILENAME linked to it. what we want is to instead of displaying the entire path from the user forward: ex, c:/users/jimsmith/desktop.......... all the way to the filename, we would like to have from a specific folder: ex. vault/master.dwg. we use the same folder set up for all of our drawings. so it would not have to change for each new client, we just dont want a path name to be as long as it is now Thanks for any help edit: there are several version of cad being used in my office currently i think the oldest being 2010 (what my default save to is) I however am using 2014 Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
