Yet another major tutorial for you to get your teeth into. Keyframe Animation in Bryce is especially for all you Brycers who have been bothered by animating Bryce objects. Hope you like it!

Well, Bryce is a 3D Landscape generator. Originally created by Metacreations and sold to Corel about 18 months ago. Currently at version 5.

I use it a lot for creating settings for models built in AutoCAD. It's a lot easier to work with than VIZ/MAX (once you get used to the interesting interface) and it's cheaper (a lot!). There's an excellent materials library but amazing control over the way things look and rendering is high quality.

The nice thing is that you work with real world objects like the Sun and clouds etc as well as all the usual 3D modelling tools.

For example, the dialogue box above is the Skylab and enables you to create all sorts of skies including nite time skies with stars.

It has cult status on the web and you'll find loads of galleries. Often used by artists to create "alien world" images but is great for plain old images of the Earth!

    See http://www.corel.com/bryce5 for more details.

Actually, all the avatar icons on this forum were created with Bryce. It's my favourite 3D app.

Yes I do. Export to 3DS and then into Bryce. It all works wonderfully well. I'll probably do a tutorial on this before the end of the year for my students. I teach a course next semester called "Digital Landscapes" where I have students using AutoCAD, Bryce and Photoshop to design a walk through a landscape.
