rock1
I have lenovo Lenovo G500 59-370339 laptop with ATI Sunpro 8570 graphics 2gb. It also has integrated Intel® HD Graphics 4000. I haven’t installed updates for graphics or video so far, since they aren’t available. I viewed the log by going to Options>System>Performance Settings> And checked for updates, AutoCAD said, that my performance tuner file is up to date. I also saved the log which is as follows/ I have a requirement, since I’ve invested in a laptop that comes with a 2GB graphics card, how can I make autocad use it and not the integrated intel graphics 4000? -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Performance Tuner Results Log Version: 19.0.2.00 Date of Last Tune: 30-05-2014 Machine Configuration --------------------- Processor Speed : 2.6 GHz RAM : 3965 MB 3D Device --------- Name : Intel® HD Graphics 4000 Manufacturer : Intel® Chip set : HD Graphics 4000 Memory : 3834 MB Driver : 8.17.0010.1190 Your machine contains a 3D Device that is not certified. nestly
I dont have any experience with your particular problem, but you can look into disabling the onboard in the BIOS, similar to this example for Dell/Optimus http://forums.autodesk.com/t5/Hardware/Disabling-nVidia-Optimus-amp-Perform-Clean-Install/m-p/4363279/highlight/true#M23681
nestly
I don't believe that's correct, ReMark. The log indicates that AutoCAD is using the integrated Intel graphics, not the discrete ATI graphics adapter. The Intel graphics does not support Hardware acceleration, whereas the ATI graphics should.
ReMark
Looks like I'm batting zero today. I will withdraw my earlier comment. Edited June 23, 2014 by ReMark can't type either....need more coffee!
Spaj
Hi Not something I'm familiar with but does the laptop not come with some sort of Virtual GPU software such as Lucid MVP? Most desktop motherboards utilize this software on boards that support integrated CPU/GPU processors.
SLW210
If nestly's suggestion doesn't work (or even if it does), make sure you have the drivers installed from Autodesk site. Some laptops will allow you to choose which card an application uses, I know my Nvidia card does. Graphics drivers
