So i've been creating my 3D models but can't seem to understand how to create decent layouts (front, top, right views) with the dimentions. Ideas, suggestions, etc.

First. Are you aware of the different ways 2D views can be created from a 3D model in AutoCAD?

-In AutoCAD 2014 you have....

Flatshot

SectionPlane

SolProf

SolView/SolDraw (typically used in combination)

BaseView (a.k.a. - ViewBase)

Second. How familiar are you with paper space viewports?

Third. Are you making use of annotative scaling? Asked another way, are you going to place your dimensions and text in model space or in your layout?
