Rise/drop not displaying in single line view

In a plan view, if I have a 45 deg offset up or down, the fittings show up fine in double line (Fine) detail. If I change it to Medium or Course, the fitting changes to single line, but the rise/drop symbol does not appear. It works fine for 90 deg elbows, but not 45 elbows. Why is this? Is there a way to make the rise/drop appear?

I don't think there is. It's because a 45 is not a rise, but an offset (Revit's understanding of it anyways). I could be wrong though, in recent versions there may have been some way to do it but I've never came across it. I admit I've never tried though, either.

There are workarounds I'm sure, such as editing the Fitting Family but may be a daunting task.
