CAD standards for the Oil & Gas industry

Hi all,

I am clueless where to put the post so here it is. Just starting out in the Oil & Gas industry as a project draftsman/Graduate Engineer.

The thing is I am tasked with setting up CAD standards for the relatively new company. They don't have any standards at all. I will need to set up the proper layers, scales, library of common rigging components found in the Oil & Gas industry.

Secondly I will need to write a manual to describe all those above. This is for when the company expands and hires new project draftsman, the manual will be issued to them to follow the standards.

If anyone in this industry kindly guide me on this.

Thank you.
