Hrcko Posted August 19, 2014 Share Posted August 19, 2014 Hi! I am making the drawing of the ship model. The hull has been modeled in Delftship and exported as DXF file. The sections look like this: Notice how section lines are smooth. When the DXF file is opened in AutoCAD the sections look like this: Green arrow - I want that line quality. It is possible to see that the section lines are not smooth. How can I make the lines better (smooth)? I tried polyline edit but could not obtain what I want. Thank you for the comments and the help. eldon Posted August 20, 2014 Share Posted August 20, 2014 My guess is that the conversion programme to DXF is not accurate enough for your needs. AutoCAD can only use what it is given, and there are definite lurches in the linework. Pedit cannot cope. Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

eldon Posted August 21, 2014 Share Posted August 21, 2014 I think that you should be working to more decimal places before you create the DXF. The lines have wobbles which are 0.0001 offset.
