vertical horizons
Using AutoCAD Mechanical 2013, I can not find the EMBOSS Icon. Where is this button located? I even searched GOOGLE & YOUTUBE, but couldn't find an answer there, either.
ReMark
Maybe the command does not exist in Mechanical. I know there is an emboss feature in Inventor. What exactly are you embossing? Is it text?
vertical horizons
I'm sorry. My mistake. We use AutoCAD Mechanical & Inventor. I meant to say Inventor, instead of AutoCAD. And yes, I am trying to emboss text.
ReMark
Did you look on the Create panel on the 3D Model tab?
vertical horizons
I don't see it on the "CREATE" tab.
ReMark
You are look for the Create panel on the 3D Model tab. Please confirm the version you are using. And while you are at it read this as it is specific to Inventor 2013... http://books.google.com/books?id=G4fqBmJ2O0QC&pg=RA1-PA6&lpg=RA1-PA6&dq=inventor+emboss+tool&source=bl&ots=khhwl5j9XJ&sig=lUXaFxf8TKO9tNpeAIBd0w2hBV4&hl=en&sa=X&ei=dTMHVMmMNJOONrD-goAE&ved=0CB0Q6AEwADgU#v=onepage&q=inventor%20emboss%20tool&f=false
JD Mather
You took a picture of your monitor? Simply use the Windows Snipping tool. You are in an assembly. Emboss is in the part environment.
vertical horizons
You took a picture of your monitor?Simply use the Windows Snipping tool... You're right. I could have used the "print screen" option. I wasn't thinking.
Dinochrome
Hmm. I'm working through tutorials. I am in a part environment. I made a sketch and added text to it. I am back out on the 3D workspace. When I try to find EMBOSS on the ribbon below create it does not appear. I did check the drop-down arrow. There is only DECAL left below off the ribbon. Thanks in advance. Dinochrome
The Ribbon doesn't stay persistent for use with Clipping Tool.
