"Mesh modeling enables you to create smooth, curved volumes by manipulating faces that make up an object's surface." Meshes lend themselves well to the creation of free-form objects. David Bethel Posted October 6, 2014 Share Posted October 6, 2014 The original meshes in Autocad were simply a group of 3dfaces that were defined under a POLYLINE header. The built in commands were: REVSURF ( revolved path from an axis ) EDGESURF ( from 4 edges with touching end points ) RULESURF ( from 2 entities ) TABSURF ( tabulated from a path and direction ) 3DMESH ( General mesh defined by m & n points ) A POLYFACE MESH was created with an autolisp routine. It allows for hidden edges of the individual faces.
