Editing text with colons

Recommended Posts

Good Morning,

I have been having this issue for awhile now and I'm just getting around to posting about it.

The autocad files come from my moonlighting job and the company is using AutoCAD 2012, I am on 2014. This issue only happens with files from this company.

If you look at the screenies, you will notice that when I double-click to edit the text, a space (about the width of a TAB) appears just after the colon. I cannot remove this space without removing the word that the colon is attached to. I then retype the word and the colon and the space goes away, but if I go to edit it again, the same thing happens.

How can I prevent this from happening? I'm assuming it's a setting somewhere.

Thanks for the help

Every time I look at the subject line, I think to myself, "Why would you want to edit text with your colon?"

Sorry, I couldn't hold it back any longer.
