Updating data in the drawing using external link

Hi All,

I am trying to find a shorter way of updating room and employee data in the drawing. The room number and employee name has been created as an attribute. I have extracted all the data and modified it on excel. Is there a way that i can link this updated data back in CAD so that the previous data in my drawing automatically get updated.

Please check the ATTIN command (part or Express extension); this will allow you to import values for attributes from an Excel (CSV format) file, but I don't think that is possible to make a link (that it, for automated update) between those.

Yes I finally figured that out. Exported all my attribute data, modified in excel and imported that back in. Worked like a charm and saved a ton of time.
