    Default 3D polyline

I am using acad 2007. In older versions to draw a 3d polyline or arce I would place points with x,y,z, such as 2,5,3 - 9,5,7, - 12,10,14 then I would just snap to these points and have my 3D polyline. now using 2007 when I snap from point to point it does not snap to the Z elevation it keeps the first points z value Is there some setting to change to get it to snap to the 3D points?
    Thanks
