ThinkDrawPrint
The team at The Clemons Coding Company has developed an application plugin to allow a 2D mouse to move objects around in a 3D space. Please take our survey at http://lnkd.in/bFrNKZA to help us determine if there is a need for this among professional engineers. It will be used for AutoCAD and Solidworks - applications along those lines. Please share it on Facebook and LinkedIn. My apologies if this is not the right thread for this. I am not trying to spam you. V/R, Buck
nestly
Interesting idea, but it seems to be better suited to free-hand movement rather than precision, so I wouldn't have much use for something like that.
steven-g
+1 I watched a couple of videos and the idea looks good, but it's a bit short in details at the moment, and precision is a must for me, though I can see it's value for people who use more organic movement and design. I'm studying 3D printing at the moment and I see how some people are struggling with 3D designs on a flat 2D orientated display.
ThinkDrawPrint
Thanks for the feedback. It is all being factored in to our future plans. Please send the link to some of your CAD friends - I am still a few short of what I need for a decent sample. Thanks, Buck
JD Mather
Autodesk is a company, not a 3D modeling program. Autodesk sells several different 3D modeling programs. http://www.autodesk.com/store/all-products I stopped there.
ThinkDrawPrint
A typo on my part. Corrected.
tzframpton
Creating 3D input devices for AutoCAD is pointless. No need to take the survey.
