Model space and paper space drawings are different.

This is the weirdest thing I have seen since starting on Autocad 18 years ago.

I am using Autocad LT, I drew a detail in model space and added a viewport. But in my viewport the detail looks completely different.

Any help will be appreciated.

Cheers

Your concern is primarily the missing dimensions... is that correct?

if so, that's likely because the dimensions are Annotative and the Viewport and Dimensions don't have matching scales.

Hi Nestly,

Thanks for the reply, I don;t use annotative dimensions and I am using the normal template I have always used.

I will also google it a bit more, I just needed to get the project out so was forced to explode the dimensions.

yeah I know I never do but I needed to get the project out and did not have time to search for an answer. The layer is not frozen in the viewport, that is the first thing I checked.

  • 3 weeks later...

although you don't use annotative dimensions, is it possible that they are or have annotative properties? If so, hit your annotation visibility next to your annotation scale bottom right of your tray.
