doncwe
I have installed the student version ofAutoCad 2013, but I can't seem to activate the Tool Palette. Is it not available in the Student version...or?
Cad64
What happens when you type TOOLPALETTES at the command line. Is there an error message?
tzframpton
We are all familiar with Tool Palettes, so we do not need a screen shot showing us what Tool Palettes are. Can you post a screen shot of your interface by chance? Ctrl+3 is also a toggle for opening and closing the Tool Palette. I suggest it may be either anchored, which is a collapsed Tool Palette that expands when you mouse-over the Tool Palette bar, or it's open but off-screen. I tried to the screenshot from the earlier post but accidently deleted the whole message. I'll try another attempt, this screenshot shows the interface. tzframpton
The button outlined in Red is the Tool Palette toggle. See if this yields any other results. Also check to see if a Tool Palette location is defined in your Support Path:
Cad64
Maybe one of the suggestions here will help: http://knowledge.autodesk.com/support/autocad/troubleshooting/caas/sfdcarticles/sfdcarticles/Palettes-will-not-display-in-AutoCAD.html
doncwe
Thanks to both of you for your help and patience with the new guy to AutoCad, reducing the screen size revealed the palette. One more thing was learned today. Thanks again. Edited December 28, 2014 by doncwe
