New Override key

G'day felas, I want to make new override keys. What I found in the documentation was an explanation of how to put macros in up and down key states. The explanation is no good to me. I know how to make macros, but don't know how to use them with function keys.

Then, I would want to know how to modify code within temporary macro keys.

This is the code for F3;

^P'_.osmode $M=$(if,$(and,$(getvar,osmode),16384),$(-,$(getvar,osmode),16384),$(+,$(getvar,osmode),16384))

When I press and hold down F3 I can use the snap while in command, and then upon release the snap is automatically turned off. Unfortunately only few keys have this very useful functionality.Let's say I want to have the same code, and behavior for F4, which is 3DSnap. Is it possible?
