conv0luted
Hi there! First post! This might be a noob question, but then again I am a noob and this is the noob section I would like to hide my dimlin lines for rendering output. I have googled, and searched through settings and cannot find the option. Thanks! Regards, Noob
ReMark
Since you put your dimension lines on their own layer just freeze the layer in model space or freeze it in your layout viewport via the VP Freeze column in your Layer Properties Manager. Thanks for the reply ReMark, I have frozen the dimlinear line layer, however it is still visible in rendering. I have also tried turning off the layer. Neither seems to remove the layer for rendering. EDIT: There is something else going on, when I try to freeze the layer it says cannot freeze layer "It is the current layer"
ReMark
Are all the dimension lines visible or just some of them?
conv0luted
EDIT: Disregard this issue. I was somehow drawing the dimlinear lines on the same layer as my object. Freeze works now. Thanks!
ReMark
And why would you not have a separate layer for your dimensions? How many layers do you have in your drawing? I'm working in a 3D drawing at this very moment. I froze the layer my dimensions are on then ran the Render command. The dimensions did not show up. nestly
Create a different Layer and then change all the Dimensions to that Layer. (You don't want Dimensions on Layer 0 anyway) To change the Layer of the Dims, use QSELECT and/or SELECTSIMILAR, to select all the dimension objects then use the Properties Palette or Layer Dropdown to change their layer. See how easy that was? Thanks for the update.
