Hello,

I know that in this area many Architectural firms used to use DataCAD. No longer the case. For many years I have tried playing with AutoCAD but always fell back to what I was most productive in...DataCAD.

A few months ago I jumped at an opportunity to go to a firm and work on AutoCAD. Working in schematic design has not been difficult because the drawings do not have to be as organized...but putting together a complete set of Construction Doc's is taking me 2 to 3 times as long as it should.

Very frustrating. Commands are similar but actually quite different.

I wonder if anyone has made this transition from DataCAD to AutoCAD and has any useful tips for someone making this jump, one that I waited too long to make.
