    Default Scale in Paper view

Hi, im sure this question has been asked many times before or im just stupid so i apologize in advance. I am using AutoCAD 2006 and trying to use one of the A1 pre-installed templates.

If i draw a square 50x50 units in mode space, for example, when i switch to paper view at scale 1.1 the drawing doesnt seem to tally with the measurement markings around the outside of the template. (The measurement markings are 50mm apart on the paper, but i have to zoom to scale 0.518 for it to marry up with the 50x50 square in the model space!) What am I doing wrong, i don't understand it! It's as if the measurement markings around the outside of the template are completely random!

    Help!!

    Chris

First of all, double check to make sure that your zoom in the viewport is 1/1xp. That isn't usually a default. And secondly, double check your graph (i'm assuming in the ttl block in paper space) to see what distance the marks are at (just use the distance command).

Thanks Pennylove, I had forgotten to use 'xp' to scale. It's all looking good now!
