Exporting to prior versions in Civil 3d 2015 Problems and workarounds

Exporting to prior versions in Civil 3d 2015 has been made somewhat more easier

due to a main dialog box were you can select just individual Layouts or

everything in the drawing.

Sounds good right?

Well not everything in AutoCAD works as it should......a shock I know:unsure:

The problem I had was when exporting a drawing with multiple Layouts is it would create a separate drawing for Each Layout! Another very odd problem is when I opened one of the sheets and went into Model space there was the sheet

exactly like it looked in Paperspace - Viewports, titleblock and all except there

was no surface etc in model just an exact copy of what was in Paperspace.

The Viewports were now just lines but everything that it was zoomed to was

right there in the viewport but it was all trimmed to the viewport........:?:?

At this point I thought I was sunk until I remembered that in 2014 it helped to be in Model space when exporting. So I tried it again but in model space this time.

This time it worked!

Everything was as expected.

Of course the Annotative scale is still an issue. (why fix something that dosnt work?)

But at least it came out as excepted.

So here are the setting I had in Paperspace -

Files to export "Current drawing only"

"Include sheets" was checked.

All the sheets were checked.

And in Model - same setting but I deselected all the sheets and just selected Model space. I found that even if you select just one or all of the sheets it will still create

a layout tab for them all.

Hope this helps someone.

Please post if you have a better way or maybe I missed something completely?
