Section tags on one floor only

I cut a section through a glass wall on the second floor but it is showing up on all the floors. I cropped the view box in section view to just show the second floor so I don't want the symbol to show up on the other floors. Is there a way to turn it off a specific section reference on the floors its not intended for?

You can simply hide it, or set up some Filters that coordinate with the job.

To set the Filter up in your favor, it's best to intuitively plan on what you intend to do with the View first. For instance, I'm not as worried about visibility control for "working views", only Views that will be on a Sheet. So I create Filters based on my Sheet Numbering convention to control the Visibility of Sections/Elevations/etc "per floor". Attached is an example of how I do this:

Hope this helps! :)

First, it should work as you've mentioned (usually). But take note that the floor plan's view range affects what sections it shows. So if the 3rd / 4th floor's view range bottom is set to show all the way down to ground - it would show the section on 2nd floor also. Same with the 1st floor's top.

If you need the view range to continue past (e.g. you want to see the site below, you want the "bottom" to go all the way down [bad choice] and for some reason you don't just want it as an underlay), then the only options would be to either hide them manually (very complicated, time consuming, prone to errors, not at all automatic, etc.). Or (much better) to use view filters as tzframpton's example (you don't need the sheet number, you could use most anything you want).
