Lines appear when printing but are not in paper or model space.

Recommended Posts

Hi,

My boss was working on my drawing and has somehow managed to mess it up! On drawing 101 and 102 there are lines which cut right across the building; they are not in model or paper space. I have tried turning on all my layers but they still don't appear.

Any help would be most appreciated.

Regards

Andrew

Yes but I have just fixed it - used audit command which then showed up all the lines in model space. So have deleted them all now. Thank you for your quick response - it's really strange. How does it happen?!

I think the cause is due to poor CAD practices.

Speaking of running commands are your drawing I'd suggest you also run 1) Overkill (your drawing had 642 duplicate objects and an unbelievable 15099 overlapping objects) and 2) -Purge (Regapps & All).

When I ran Audit on your drawing it found 269 database errors. Inexcusable.

What is the source of the drawing? It appears to have some inconsistencies.
