Casio47
Hello, I've just started with a company who wants me to test drive Architecture 3D (2015). The problem is I've never worked 3D, always just AutoCAD 2D for floor layouts. Can someone direct me to training tutorials for Architecture 3D 2015? Thanks
ReMark
You're lucky you live in the age of computers and the Internet. Free 10-day trial over at www.lynda.com covering AutoCAD Architecture essentials by Paul F. Arbin. http://www.lynda.com/AutoCAD-Architecture-tutorials/AutoCAD-Architecture-Essential-Training/162570-2.html Find 3295 articles at the AutoDesk website re: AutoCAD Architecture. http://knowledge.autodesk.com/support/autocad-architecture/learn-explore#?sort=score When all else fails there is always searching on the Internet using the words "autocad architecture 2015 tutorial". Should bring up additional resources like YouTube videos for instance. Or this... http://www.caddigest.com/subjects/autocad_architecture/tutorials.htm Edited March 26, 2015 by ReMark

The problem is I've never worked 3D, always just AutoCAD 2D for floor layouts. Can someone direct me to training tutorials for Architecture 3D 2015? Thanks Since your company is still in the inquiry stage, I would highly advise to skip AutoCAD Architecture and test drive Revit Architecture instead. Casio47
Why should I try Revit?

tzframpton
Why should I try Revit?Because AutoCAD is becoming a legacy program, especially in the architectural domain. I'd just hate to see your company choose to invest in AutoCAD Architecture when the entire industry is all moving to the Revit platform now. Contact your reseller and ask them to provide to your company both options, pro's and con's and weigh them both. That's the route I'd take. If you want a very well-written article by one of the most well-known and well-respected AutoCAD and Revit guru's known throughout the Autodesk community, then read this nugget from Steve Stafford when you have a moment: http://revitoped.blogspot.com/2014/04/revit-and-autocad.html -TZ
f700es
Just get the Building Design Suite Premium or above and get all of the tools (AutoCAD, AutoCAD Arch, AutoCAD Structure, AutoCAD MEP, Revit, Navisworks and Max). This way you can start to make the switch.
