Hello everyone

im almost using Cad for the past 6 yrs and i thought of diverting my knowledge to revit since some of the renders today couldnt accomplish by Cad unlike revit does. :?:?:?

so, may i ask your comments what version of revit should i start with and maybe a little bit of help since this will be a new interface and environment on my pc and my eyes.

your help is so much appreciated.

I think rendering is better in AutoCAD, personally. So if it's 3D rendering you're after, AutoCAD may be a better choice for you so stick with it. Revit is primarily meant for the engineering and design of anything architectural related, but "rendering" output is not it's strength.

The version you should start with is the latest & greatest, which is soon to be Revit 2016. The Revit platform is very different from other CAD software applications in that it does not allow compatibility between versions. If you are a one-man show and will not be working with a team, or sharing files, this will not be a problem to you.
