mclevel Posted April 15, 2015 Share Posted April 15, 2015 Hi everyone. Im newly hired and my job is to design and lay out small dams for irrigation. I also need to create section views, profile views and cut and fill lines. However I dont have yet enough knowledge on doing this things. Can you give me some tips or simple steps on how to create these? I tried youtube but i can only see tutorials for road design. Please help. Thankyou. BIGAL Posted April 15, 2015 Share Posted April 15, 2015 You need to have a look at the Grading Tools these are very good when it comes to dams, draw an outline then add slopes etc you create a new surface and from this you can get your cross sections etc. There are tutorials with CIV3D so hunt them out, I can not help I go to one of our guys who knows how to do it.
