Registered forum members do not see this ad.

I have a question about dynamic blocks,

Im new to AutoCAD 2007 and I cant fully yet understand how they work.

How do you scale dynamic block in one direction only?

    cheers?

i think there's a tutorial on the CD or even installed.... search for the "workshops". they can give you a good example.

basically, how you do it is you create a Distance Parameter. then, apply a Scale command to the distance parameter.... something like that. i can't really remember off the top of my head lol.

    Default still not working

I still cant get it to work.

    I add a xy parameter

then I add a scale action

I then change the scale type to 'x'

    and the save the block.

This is how it tells you to do it in the help guide and i have tried but it does not work is still scales both X & Y!

    What am I missing?

    thanks again.

When you insert a block you may choose any X and Y scale -but I would not use this for dynamic blocks.
I think the STRETCH action is what you are after. Try to read this older post:
