Jessica28
I'm trying to draw a squiggly line to look like a wire and extrude it in 3d. What's the easiest way to do this if it can even be done with autocad mep 2015? Thanks, Jess
ReMark
You might try extruding (or sweeping) a circle along a spline.
Jessica28
I'm playing around with what you mentioned (and I will keep at it) but I'm not having much luck so far...I am able to get the spline drawn the way id like it shown in 3D but now im just trying to get the extruding part figured out...Any tips on extruding or sweeping the circle along that line? It hasn't worked thus far. Thanks, Jess
ReMark
Did you use the "path" option? Without seeing what you are doing I'd just be guessing. Here is something I did using the Spline and Sweep commands. BTW...I have no knowledge of how MEP works. I use plain AutoCAD.
hertz hound
ReMarks way is the only way I can think of doing it. You may also want to try a 3-D poly line
