Convert PDF image to AUTOCAD

Loaded a PDF image into 2011 version----is there a simple way to change it to autocad use?????

No there isn't. You will need to find a PDF to DWG conversion program. Test a handful out because some are notoriously bad at what they do.

It it VERY dependent on HOW the PDF file was created.

Was it a paper drawing scanned to a PDF? In that case, the PDF is simply a wrapper for a TIF file. Raster to Vector is a very inexact science and likely to result in a mess.

Was it printed to PDF from a CAD program like AutoCAD or Microstation? If so, then a lot depends on the PDF driver, but you may have a fairly good vector PDF that can be converted back to CAD with decent results.

If you're unsure of the origin or if the PDF contains a mixture of vector and raster, then you're somewhere in between the two extremes above.

Agreed, Adobe PDF drivers has produced a better result than say CutePDF printer in my tests in converting back to dwg.
