NCOPY to paste as current layer in drawing

Hey anyone now if there is a lisp or a routine to paste selected items to the current layer in your drawing when using the command NCOPY.

 

I dont want to drag layers from the x ref into the current drawing im working on,

 

I have Lee Macs LayerDirector lisp routine and I tried different options in this,

 

any help would be appreciated thanks
