So we had some $$ left over in this years budget and I asked about getting a laptop for CAD use as well as for meetings and presentations. It just came in and I thought I'd share the specs and price in case anyone else is looking. I haven't installed any software yet so I can't share on any performance results/opinions.

I stayed away from the super high res displays as we still have some older overheads projectors on campus and the high res might not work as well with them.

This is very similar to the notebook that I just bought. The only downfall is AutoCAD favors the Intel 4600 Card. I emailed Autodesk about the issue and they sent me some solutions.

Either way, I am not disappointed in the performace of the PC. I do use it for gaming every once in awhile.
