lamensterms
Hey guys, I'm just trying to recall a command, but it is escaping me. I think there is a command EXPORTTODWG / SAVETODWG / SAVETOAUTOCAD or something. I have never actually used it, just read about it. I think it is a command used to export a drawing and clear out all the extra junk that can be accumulated in the DWGs. Does this sound familiar to anyone? Thanks for any help. steven-g
-exporttoautocad is the one I think you are looking for, I've never used it myself
Tiger
Could be WBLOCK ?
Dadgad
Could be WBLOCK ? SURVEY SEZ .....WBLOCK is the #1 answer! Assuming that just using the commandline -PURGE command won't sufficiently clean house. Are you exporting from Prosteel perhaps?
RobDraw
What kind of junk are you try to get rid of? The export command that you are referring to converts objects created by vertical products like AutoCAD MEP among many others. It also purges the dictionaries associated with those objects. It is a very good tool, if you receive drawings created by the verticals that haven't been converted for you or if you are on a vertical and are sending out drawings to others. Check the settings carefully, there are a few that I change from default. If this is for internal file maintenance, Purge, Audit, and WBlock are all good ones. lamensterms
Hi guys, Thanks for the replies everyone. I think it is the -EXPORTTOAUTOCAD command, but I'm unable to test it at the moment. The issue is, I've got a title block drawing that gets corrupted repeatedly (not every time though). I just like to clean out any dictionaries and logic from our add on packages. ProSteel being the main one.
