tzframpton
Does Autodesk Inventor have the ability to write the necessary G-Code for a CNC machine? If so can anybody point me in the right direction regarding this function? Thanks in advance. -TZ
ReMark
Not to my knowledge (which stops at Inventor 2012). You would need a program like MeshCAM. http://www.grzsoftware.com/ MasterCAM is another recommended program. OK...just came across an article that says Fusion 360 now has CAM tools (cloud based). Here's the link to the article. http://www.engineering.com/DesignSoftware/DesignSoftwareArticles/ArticleID/9887/Autodesk-Updates-Inventor-Brings-Fusion-360s-CAM-Tools-to-the-Cloud.aspx
MarkFlayler
You can also download HSM Express for free for Inventor 2014-2016, but you may need help getting the installer for the older versions from an authorized reseller...even though its free. http://cam.autodesk.com/get-inventor-hsm-express/
tzframpton
I have Inventor 2016. This is what I was looking for - thanks Mr. Flayler. ReMark, thank you for your suggestion as well.
