I have a situation where I would like to add a decoratve stripe to a part surface. ConMan Posted May 29, 2015 Share Posted May 29, 2015 The way we did it (probably back in Inventor 2012) was to do a split to get a separate face feature. Then we applied a different color to that face only to get a stripe on some of our manufactured components. So depending on your geometry I think a sketch defining the stripe could be selected as the base of a split feature, and then select that face to apply a different color to it in the properties dialog.
