richardson3709
trying to take an exhaust cap I designed and turn it into a file I can burn on my cnc machine. I drew the cap in autocad and need to get it into inventor so I can rip it and flatten it. any ideas on how to do this? I tried to upload the file I designed but it is too large. Lazer
You can simply copy and past the Autocad drawings file into Inventor and now that you have Inventor 2016 when you update the autocad file the Inventor 3d model will also update. In 2016 you can click import CAD file and select DWG or in a sketch you can insert a dgw. Depending on the design it way be worth modelling it up inside inventor from scratch just to get better control.
