Chprop dialog went missing

Recommended Posts

Alright, newbie here but in the trade 20 yrs. Stupid but valid question......here I am working along and clicked something, not sure what and the doalog box applicable to chprop went missing. CMDDIA, FILEDIA, ATTDIA, all set to 1. What am I missing to get this dialog to pop back up please.

Just as an FYI: none of those variables would affect a Properties dialog.

If this was Quick Properties, then type in QPMODE and set it to 1 (then when you select an entity the QP dialog will appear)

If this was Properties, type in PROPS OR CTRL+1

I have never used the CHPROP command, I usually just change properties directly in my QUICK PROPERTIES palette.

I just tried CHPROP, but there was no dialog box which opened, just commandline options, so it sounds more like your QUICK PROPERTIES (or Properties) as both Rob & RK have suggested.

Might the window which has gone missing look something like the one in the first screenshot?

Might it have auto collapsed (which is an option), like the other screenshot where it is appreciably smaller?

Did anything else go missing?

Try hitting CTRL + 0 .

It sounds like it is your QUICK PROPERTIES then, can you post a screenshot of it please?

It sounds like either it is now set to AUTO COLLAPSE, or the entity type which is being displayed has very few properties specified for it to display.

Does it look like my screenshots in post #5?

In auto collapse mode, it will expand when you mouse over it.
