Keyboard shortcuts reset

I had a bit of a problem here: using acad 2005, I changed editor from a custom setting to a default. I left the value blank, and hit ok, autocad made a message window saying that it will set th eeditor to default value. After that it also set the value of menu file to an empty string (this seems to be a bug in acad 2005), and after I reloaded the menu file, it seems like all my keyboard shortcuts are gone. Where are they normally saved? Is there any chance for me to recover them? Thanks!

Shortcuts are typically in C:\Documents and Settings\"your domain name"\Application Data\Autodesk\AutoCAD 2005\R16.1\enu\Support\acad.pgp

You could check by using the menu- Tools>>Customize>>Edit Custom Files>>Program parameters (acad.pgp) which opens the pghp file being used. Do a s"saveas" and check location/path being used.

I mean the keyboard shortcuts that are set through tools/customize/keyboard. Shortcuts like ctrl-b, ctrl-t, etc etc. If I understand this right, the pgp file is only for shortcuts you type into command line...

OK I wasn't thinking of those - "accelerators"? I believe when you edit those they are stored in acad.mns. If you reloaded using "acad.mnu" that probably use the default menu. You *might* be able to retrieve previous settings by reloading your menu but select the ".mns" rather than ".mnu" file.

8) Glad I stumbled across this old thread. I have customized quite a bit on my machine at work. I do less AutoCAD at home, but I have been trying to customize the home machine with the same shortcuts and such to avoid confusion.

I should be able to take the ACAD.mns file from work and copy&paste the customized lines into the home file and be good to go. Correct?
