BSracer
I have drawn a barrel profile and would like to subtract the bore with rifling. I have the P-line of a cross sectional of the rifling. Can I sweep the center line of the bore and rotate it in the path? I thought sweep would let you rotate in the path. Helix won't let me rotate in a straight line. BSracer
I think I got it. I had to limit the sweep to the length of 360 degrees. Then I copied end to end. Looks good but has a line where I Union the two pieces together.
Dadgad
Welcome to CADTutor. Good work, gald you were able to figure it out. On questions like this one, it is always a good idea to attach a screenshot, at the least, or better yet a .dwg file, as it makes it much easier to get quick and appropriate help. Lots of members may be loathe to engage in a protracted multi post thread, but willing to open a drawing and take a quick look on the fly. SLW210
Welcome to CADTutor! If there is a line at the UNION, you probably do not have a good alignment. Post your .dwg and someone will take a look.
