ste
Hi all, I just switched from the Italian to the English version of Autocad. I used all the time a couple of features which required me to type only one (or few) letters, while in the English version things are a bit less handy.. 1: with an active command, when prompted to select objects, you can type "ALL" to select, of course, everything. In the Italian version I had to type only a "T" (first letter of the word tutto=all). 2: with an active command, when promted to specify a point, you can type "FROM" to select a point from which you can specify a distance for your actual point. Previously I used to type "DA" (direct translation of "from"). It may seem silly but it really is faster to type one key (or two near ones), much like it is with personalized command aliases. Anybody please knows if (and how) it is possible to change this kind of keyboard inputs? any help would be much appreciated. thanks, Ste
RobDraw
They are called command modifiers. I'm not finding much info on them. Testing your two examples reveals that you can drop the second "L" for ALL, but FROM has to be typed out.
ste
Thank you Rob. Sad, I really use the left half of the keyboard only so.. I suppose right-click and select "From" is faster than typing it. At least now I know their name, but I'm not finding much either.
guran
If you want to select all you can always press control+A. To specify a distance from a point, look in Options under Drafting / "Alignment Point Acquisition".

guran
You can also try to type "TK" for tracking.

tombu
For those with Express Tools the "Command Aliases Editor…" (ALIASESEDIT at the command line) provides a simple dialog interface for the ACAD.PGP file.

tombu
On my home page http://home.comcast.net/~721rr/ the right column contains the links I posted above: AutoCAD One Key Shortcut Guide http://www.autodesk.com/store/autocad/autocad-shortcuts 10 AutoCAD temporary override keys http://www.cad-notes.com/10-autocad-...override-keys/ Function Key Reference http://knowledge.autodesk.com/suppor...40489-htm.html along with a few examples of each. I did that column with the background color I use in AutoCAD as well as a horizontal section of AutoCAD related links like the Groups scroller which contains a couple CadTutor links.
