Copy with basepoint and/or paste to original coodinates.

 

Insert each as a block and explode if desired.

 

XREFs are good if the information will be used in more than one file.

I agree, I usually use 0,0 as my Basepoint, especially if I am using Viewports.

Maybe it's my OCD but I personally use 0,0,0 (three zeros). Years ago I was burnt by a block that was placed at 0,0 and the elevation became an issue. Just my $.02.

I've never had to use the third zero. In a 2D environment it is understood and not necessary, any Z value is more than likely to do with errant objects than it does with the coordinate system.
