grain
Any ideas why Autocad LT 2009 should dip its brightness everytime I go into model space. This has just started happening without any logical reason. (I had changed the colour display from white to black background)
ReMark
Maybe it's somehow related to your graphics card? Is this computer as old as the software that you are using?
grain
Hi ReMark The computer has an i7 processor with a Geforce GT220 graphics card.
ReMark
Are you seeing anything unusual when you use other programs?
grain
No ReMark there is no dimming of brightness happening on any other program and it only happens if I try to change the colour background in 'Options' to black from the usual white that I use. ReMark
Are you selecting the word "black" or specifying a red-green-blue number sequence?
RobDraw
It could also be one of those "fancy" auto-adjust settings on the monitor.
grain
I chose the 'Black' colour
RobDraw
Can you post screen shots of this dimming (before and after)?
grain
Hi Rob I think you are right it looks like an auto dimming issue with my Samsung monitor. It only happens with black. If I choose a dark colour from the options display there is no dimming of the screen. When I choose black even the print screen I took had the dimming effect kick in after a half second. Thanks you for your comment. I will stick with a dark colour display until I get a chance to look into the monitors controls.
grain
Yes it was the 'Dynamic Contrast' in the Monitor controls
grain
Yes Rob it was 'Dynamic Contrast' Option on my monitor. Thanks.
Lorelei
I solved it by changing the screen setup. (it had nothing to do with ACAD) Picture / MagicBright / Dynamic Contrast Picture / MagicBright / Custom or Standard
