TheCADnoob
Back to the original topic. I had a setup at my last firm where I created a *.bat script that would change all of the bak files to hidden. I then added it to my right click menu for easy access. As long as your view for explorer wouldn't show hidden files you were good. Ive done similar things for different purposes (not CAD assocaited) to hide program files. attrib +h *.BAK /s I have personally had corrupt files that were recovered by using the bak files. Ive also had cases where users delete elements in drawing they thought were irrelevant to the drawing but turned out to be mission critical for other departments. The bak files saved jobs in those cases. My personal workflow does not generate a bunch of bak files in the same directory, so too many bak files really isn't a problem for me.
