Hi - I have just acquired a 16:9 wide screen monitor which is excellent for playing video clips but when used to display my Autocad drawings results in an elongated display, turning circles into ellipses etc. Can anyone please advise me on how I can restore the normal aspect ratio when displaying drawingss- Regards

Its very old advice but pretty sure you can alter the aspect to make circles round etc Will need to Google.

Did a google and the adjust is no longer available, went out years ago.

Actually, your monitor should have controls that allow you to adjust the aspect ratio. Try some of the buttons along the side or bottom of the monitor. Otherwise the video driver software may have adjustments - what card do you have?

I simply followed the advice given and carried out adjustments to the resolution controls

Thanks for getting back and enjoy your new monitor
