Custom Linetype problem

Recommended Posts

Hi there everyone,

I've been using a custom linetype including the characters "/" and "\" to make a "V" shaped-indentation in the line.

Problem is, when I convert a polyline boundary to a "fitted", curved polyline, the "V" shows in both directions, whereas I want it to stay only inside the boundary. have attached DWG file.

Any way to solve this without using splines?

Any help much appreciated,

GC :)

The only clue I could pick up from the drawing is that the linetype direction is determined by the direction / bulge of each arc segment, you might be able to get a workable solution by creating a "negative" linetype and using that on the individual arcs (on an exploded copy of the polyline as you can only have one linetype in a polyline) and then use the boundary command to create a new polyline (but it might just revert back to a single linetype), but that is just guess work. Can you upload a copy of the linetype file, it shows in your dwg but I have no idea how to get at the actual linetype description file with it not being native

Do you have the Linetype generation Enabled or Disabled?

It appears to be disabled (0). What would this result in?

Thanks for the reply!
